Rancho Picante sells only its own bloodstock. We don’t take horses on consignment, board horses for others, or trade horses in and out. Our sales prospects are ready and fit to begin their two year old in training program, and have been placed with Open level trainers such as Casey Hinton, JayDee Anderson, Dave Leithead, and Ryan Anderson. We price our yearlings and young two year olds not just according to the current market, but according to the level of quality care and early training they have acquired. If a young prospect has shown exceptional trainability, then we price him to reflect that. Horses mature and learn at different rates. Our goal is to take the horse as far as we can up until his two year old year and then get him into the hands of professional trainers who can maximize his potential at whatever level the horse can rise up to. All our ranch-born and raised horses offered for sale are AQHA registered and NRHA, NRBC, and NRHA Sire and Dam enrolled.

"MATT DILLON'S CHIC" Palomino filly by Matt Dillon Dun It out of our mare Smooth Talkin Chic (I'm a Son Of A Chic X Smart Chic O'lena). This is dam's first foal. She is currently bred to Walla Wall Whiz for a May 2011 foal, and will be bred back to Wimpy's Little Step.

2 YEAR OLDS IN TRAINING "DOUBLE SHOT OF DUNIT" Dun gelding by Dunit Gotta Gun and out of our money-winning mare Lethally Dun (X Lethal Lena). Dam was third in the Denver Summer Slide Intermediate open, has a Big Chex to Cash colt by her side, and is bred back to Easy Otie Whiz for a 2012 foal. In Training with J B Gans since first of year 2011. Showing steady progress, softening nicely, very smooth going. Will start with sliders April 15.

"MAJOR VINTAGE" Bay filly by Major Vaquero out of our Hollywood Vintage mare Little Miss Vintage. Dam's three year old is currently in training in Montana and she is bred to Magnum Chic Dream for a May 2011 foal. In Training with J B Gans since first of year 2011.
